Project Advisor Job Description

Key Role Highlights:

  • Expert Strategic Advice:

  Provide in-depth guidance on railway project works, including track, signaling, electrification, bridges, and station development.

  Advise on technical standards, IR codes, and operational procedures to ensure smooth project execution.

  Support project teams in resolving on-site challenges with railway authorities.

Stakeholder Coordination

Effective Liaison and Communication:

  • Establish strong relationships with railway officials, consultants, and government departments for project clearances.

  Facilitate seamless coordination between stakeholders.

  Participate in client meetings, inspections, and progress reviews to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Tendering and Business Development

Insight-Driven Support:

  • Leverage past experience and network to strengthen chances of winning contracts.

  Provide expert insights on eligibility, contract conditions, and compliance for railway tenders.

  Collaborate with the tendering team to prepare high-quality bids.

Qualifications and Experience

Senior Officer Profile:

  • Retired Senior Officer from Indian Railways (preferably from IRSE, IRSME, IRSSE, or IRSEE).

  Minimum 25+ years of railway project experience in construction, maintenance, or operations.

  Proven track record of handling large-scale projects, including tracks, bridges, electrification, signaling, and station modernization.

  Strong network and credibility with railway authorities.

Engagement Type

Consultancy/Advisory Role:

  • Full-time or part-time engagement based on project needs.

  Contractual engagement (1–3 years) with renewal option.

  Compensation to be mutually agreed upon based on expertise and involvement.
