Job Title: Senior Storage Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Storage Engineer to lead and mentor a team of storage engineers in a 24*7 data center environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage technologies and experience working with storages from IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, HPE, and Dell EMC.

  • Lead a team of L1/L2 storage engineers and ensure timely escalations and maintenance of the escalation matrix.
  • Monitor dashboard alerts, incidents, and reports QA to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate with different teams on alerts and participate in daily monitoring calls to discuss critical alerts and observations.
  • Optimize storage alerts by identifying and segregating false, non-actionable, and actionable alerts.
  • Work with the monitoring tools team and vendors to analyze anomalies, threshold changes, missing devices, and reachability issues.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 7-9 years of experience in the storage domain.
  • Experience with storages from IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, HPE, and Dell EMC.
  • Knowledge of Brocade SAN switches, overall storage architecture, SSD, RAID, NAS, and SAN switch concepts.
  • Knowledge of storage vendor OEM monitoring tools and SANnav, stor2rrd, or Hitachi HyperOps storage monitoring tools.
  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing and exposure to troubleshooting SAN storage incidents/issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Good knowledge of Excel for preparing reports.
