Job Opportunity: Technical Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the day-to-day technical operations of our vessels.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the seaworthiness of our vessels, monitor reports promptly, and analyze performance/defects to implement effective closures.
  2. Monitor compliance with PMS standards, propose database/system improvements, and prepare annual operating budgets.
  3. Maintain validity of all certifications/documentation, liaise with classification societies and flag authorities as necessary.
  4. Prepare vessels for oil major vetting/Rightship inspections and ensure readiness.
  5. Implement efficiency improvements, monitor speed/consumption performance, and ensure compliance with Company IMS, international regulations, and flag requirements.
  6. Coordinate procurement of spares/equipment, plan/dry-dock repairs, technical projects, and supervise vessel maintenance.
  7. Support onboard crew with technical guidance/training, conduct periodic physical inspections, and assess condition/crew/IMS.
  8. Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, propose procedural improvements, and demonstrate strong understanding of TMSA/Rightship requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 10-12 years in the shipping industry on large sea-going vessels with international trading experience and a minimum of 2 years sailing experience as a Chief Engineer.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of shore experience as Superintendent and work experience on ME engines will be preferred.
  • Experience of having worked on cranes/grabs (for bulk carriers) is also required.
