Design Water Infrastructure Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to contribute to our water infrastructure design team in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering water sector assets including pumping stations, sewerage networks, stormwater networks (gravity and pumped), storage reservoirs, and treatment works (potable water or wastewater).

About the Role:

  • Provide detailed water utility designs and collaborate with senior engineers to ensure that all designs and drawings meet the required standards and quality.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables to be produced. Assist senior engineers and ensure projects are completed on time and meet prescribed deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain effective communication and team morale. Maintain focus and integrity towards the delivery of WSP's strategy.
  • Work in coordination with other design team members to achieve project goals. Coordinate with CAD technicians concerning requirements and timelines.
  • Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in a consulting firm delivering designs and calculations of wet utilities including pumping stations, sewerage networks, stormwater networks (gravity and pumped), storage reservoirs, and treatment works (potable water or wastewater).
  • Experience in using water modelling software such as Water GEMS and Sewer GEMS.
  • Awareness about GCC standards and manuals.
  • Computer literate with experience of appropriate modelling software or equivalent Excel spreadsheet calculations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
