Job Title: Physiotherapy Educator

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapy Educator to join our team. As a key member of our academic staff, you will play a vital role in teaching and supporting students by taking a learner-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To teach and support students by taking a learner-centered approach in line with the university's learning and teaching strategies.
  • To develop and deliver curriculum that meets the needs of learners, using appropriate media including the use of IT.
  • To actively participate in student inductions, preparation of key information for students, and pastoral care and supervision of students.
  • To identify and conduct research and scholarly activity relevant to the lecturing role, integrating research into teaching and learning.
  • To plan and deliver the curriculum, engage in critical reflection on practice, and contribute to innovation in learning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum development.
  • To provide effective feedback, non-biased support, and guidance to students, translating professional experience into the academic context as appropriate.
  • To supervise individual and group-based student activities, such as dissertations, industrial placements, and work-based projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
  • Proven track record of research and scholarly activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
