Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our production support and implementation team, you will be responsible for the full life cycle support of client databases.

The ideal candidate will have strong development skills, experience with database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery concepts, and database performance and tuning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full life cycle support of client's database(s) including RAC and non-RAC for OLTP and warehouse, Active DataGuard for DR, partitioning on 12c and 19c on premises and cloud environment.
  • Oracle Exadata patching and maintenance experience is required.
  • Responsible for database backups, design, development, testing, and performance tuning.
  • Will work with developers to design and build new structures to support application enhancements and promote database changes throughout the Dev, UAT and Prod databases.
  • Responsible for quarterly patch applications (PSU) and periodic database upgrades with minimal downtime in database environment.
  • Required to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and be available to perform periodic after-hours support.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery concepts, and database performance and tuning.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata patching and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
