As a seasoned professional in application support, you will lead teams in managing day-to-day application operations, analyzing and resolving complex issues, and driving continuous improvement. Your expertise in ITIL and DevOps principles will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the lifecycle of applications, including monitoring key performance indicators, service levels, and escalations.
  • Resolve critical issues promptly, documenting root causes and action items for future reference.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of volumetrics, traffic patterns, and business trends to identify potential system issues and guide teams in improving observability.
  • Evaluate and define key performance indicators to drive ongoing improvement with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance application observability and conduct regular meetings with product, development, and program teams.
  • Maintain adherence to organizational standards for meeting cadences, deliverables, and timely reporting of critical issues to management.
Change Management
  • Assess the end-to-end impact and limitations of changes with subject matter experts, ensuring thorough testing in replica environments and meeting production standards.
Application Onboarding & New Projects
  • Lead project activities, including upgrades, migrations, and new product implementations, attending solution walkthroughs and reviews.
  • Participate in onboarding new functionality and services, supporting project deadlines by completing all required processes.
  • Ensure new services are thoroughly tested in replica environments and meet production standards.
Information Security & Audit Compliance
  • Participate in addressing application security concerns, ensuring closure on priority tasks and maintaining specific trackers for expedited closure with support from security operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering specialization.
  • Pg in Engineering / Management is an added advantage.
Preferred Background
  • 10+ years of experience in Application Support / Technology Support / DevOps / CloudOps in a 24x7 support environment.
  • Leadership experience in managing support teams of L1, L2, and SMEs in a technology operations environment practicing ITIL and DevOps principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix commands, Shell scripting, PL/SQL, NoSQL, JCL, Java, Python.
  • Proficiency with observability tools: ELK, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar.
  • Domain knowledge in E-commerce, Retail, Consumer Goods, Supply Chain, or equivalent applications with direct customer-facing web or mobile applications.
  • Strong analytical skills in logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and GCs.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Hybris, IBM Sterling, Magento Commerce, SAP, or other e-commerce platforms (advantageous).
  • ITIL Foundation certification is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms (advantage).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
