This role involves performance modeling, component evaluation, preparing engineering documentation, and collaborating with teams and regulatory bodies. By staying updated on industry trends and offering technical support, the Senior Solar Systems Engineer contributes to innovative and efficient solar project solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to design and optimize solar energy systems while participating in design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
- Software and Performance Modelling: Utilize design software to model system performance and adapt designs based on project needs and technological advancements.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Site and Feasibility Assessments: Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to support project development and progress.
- Component Selection and System Evaluation: Evaluate and select solar components, analysing performance data to recommend improvements.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, adapting to new tools and techniques in solar design.
- Regulatory Compliance and Permits: Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure permits and ensure projects meet safety and environmental regulations.
- Technical Support and Problem Solving: Offer technical support, address challenges, and contribute to a positive work environment.
About You:
- Bachelor's/master's in electrical engineering
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Design/ Electrical engineering, with a focus on solar energy projects
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Management experience a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion
- Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
