Job Overview

The position of Senior Security Manager is a critical role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the security infrastructure and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Infrastructure Management: Manage the WAN and LAN security infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Disaster Recovery Operations: Perform live disaster recovery activities and conduct periodic DR drills to test the effectiveness of the business continuity plan.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of server, storage, and network architectures, including switching and routing concepts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead an outsourced team responsible for daily operations and activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements by implementing and maintaining appropriate security controls.
  • Technology Mapping: Effectively map new technologies to organizational requirements to ensure seamless integration.
  • Asset Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset inventory records.

Educational Qualifications:

A Graduate degree in BE / BSc IT is required, with a strong focus on information security.

Experience:

4-5 years of experience in information security is preferred, with a proven track record of managing security infrastructure and leading teams.

  • Information Security Policies: Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • SIEM and Event Log Management: Possess hands-on experience in SIEM and event log management to identify potential security threats.
  • Network Security: Possess advanced knowledge of networking concepts, including switching and routing.
  • Information System Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of information systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Security Improvements: Implement security improvements based on risk assessments and trend analysis.
  • Process Adherence: Maintain strict adherence to established processes and procedures.

Functional Competencies:

  • Threat Identification: Identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • System Upgrade: Upgrade system architecture to incorporate new security controls and features.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendors and monitor service level agreements.
  • Project Planning: Define, plan, scope, schedule, and prepare complete work breakdown structures for projects.
