Cloud Systems Architect

We are seeking experienced professionals to design scalable systems that maintain a startup mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build system software proactively as part of the Cloud Enablement journey.
  • Influence system architecture while maintaining critical legacy tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design scalable systems considering aspects such as fault tolerance, availability, and performance.
  • Work with software engineers and platform engineers to optimize and develop repeatable systems.
  • Help service owners set realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs), set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and error budgets, and ensure production services have reliability built into their design.
  • Provide production support and creatively solve challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE roles, or software development with an understanding of cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with server-side software engineering including Python, Go, Java, BASH.
  • Design experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, with a focus on performance monitoring and tracing instrumentation, and SLI/SLO/SLAs.
