Machine Tool Procurement Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to lead our machine tool procurement efforts. This role will require strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and vendor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for machine tools and related equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand tool requirements and inventory needs.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards in the procurement process.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of machine tool procurement, sourcing, and vendor management
  • Negotiation skills and contract management experience
  • Expertise in supply chain management and inventory control
  • Analytical skills for evaluating vendor performance and market trends
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and finance teams
  • Knowledge of cost-reduction strategies and supplier relationship management
  • Problem-solving skills, especially in dealing with supply chain or procurement issues
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing, with at least 5 years in the machine tool industry
  • Familiarity with international sourcing and import/export regulations
