Expert in x86 BIOS/UEFI Development and CPU/APU Architecture

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain x86 BIOS/UEFI firmware for various platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up new platforms and resolve technical issues.

Design and implement efficient C code for x86 CPU/APU architectures.

Work with opensource coreboot project and mainboard related porting.

Develop and maintain Intel FSP codebase and coreboot & FSP boot flow.

Utilize coreboot & FSP build tools and build processes to ensure seamless firmware development.

Port UEFI code to FSP and ensure compatibility with various hardware configurations.

Analyze platform hardware and processor specifications to identify coreboot mainboard porting requirements.

Develop and maintain coreboot payloads like edk2, SeaBios, Tianocore etc.

Ensure good understanding of UEFI framework concepts to ensure smooth firmware development.


Requirements:

3-7 years of experience in x86 BIOS/UEFI development.

Expertise in x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated compilation tools.

Proficient in C language and coreboot build tools.

Experience with platform bring-up and mainboard related porting.

Familiar with at least one BIOS code base (AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix BIOS).

Experience of working with opensource coreboot project & mainboard related porting.

Experience of working with Intel FSP codebase and understanding of coreboot & FSP boot flow.

Understanding of coreboot & FSP build tools and build processes.

Experience of working with different coreboot payloads like edk2, SeaBios, Tianocore etc.

Ability to read platform Hardware and Processor specifications to understand the coreboot mainboard porting required.

Good understanding of UEFI framework concepts to port UEFI code to FSP.
