Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team as a Senior System Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system engineering, with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of client networks, servers, and storage, as well as troubleshooting and resolving network and system issues.

They will also be involved in architecting and implementing a wide range of IT projects, including high availability, virtualization, and cloud services.

Additionally, the candidate will serve as the escalation path for issues that desktop engineers or helpdesk staff cannot resolve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining our clients' IT infrastructure remotely and at customer site(s) when needed.
  • Helping to architect and implement a wide range of IT projects, such as high availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Serving as the escalation path for issues that desktop engineers or helpdesk staff cannot resolve.
  • Working closely with Managers, Service Coordinators, and other Engineers to meet customer service-level commitments and provide world-class customer service.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network and system issues, remote or on-premise as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Administering, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Windows-based networks and servers.
  • Providing strong experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 administration, and Windows security.
  • Holding hands-on experience with firewalls and switches (Cisco, SonicWALL, Dell, Fortinet).
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based backup solutions and cloud-based email systems (O365, GSuite).
  • Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, etc.)
  • Being self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and excellent time management.
  • Having strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Desirable qualifications include CCNA or equivalent network experience and MSCE or equivalent server experience.
  • Technical Certifications are a definite plus.
