Accounting Controller/Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee all aspects of financial reporting and management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial models to analyze business performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage the accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, and other software as needed, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the processing of Canadian payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on tax implications.
  • Lead a team of accountants, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to optimize their performance and contribute to the team's success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified or semi-qualified CA with completed article ship training, demonstrating expertise in accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in every stage of accounting, financial, and management reporting, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic micros and advanced tools of Excel, to leverage data-driven insights and drive business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax laws, Canadian GAAP, and IFRS is highly desirable, as it would enable you to navigate complex regulatory environments and make informed decisions.
