Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Assurance Senior Associate. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for performing complex audit procedures and tests in accordance with our audit methodology.

  • Understand clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related IFRS or GAAP and GAAS issues.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the RSM audit approach, methodology, and tools.
  • Perform audit procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology based on overall audit plans, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
  • Identify areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
  • Research technical accounting issues.
  • Develop industry expertise.
  • Prepare audit reports and management letters.
  • Exercise professional skepticism, judgment, and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements.
  • Ensure that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Semi-qualified ACCA/CPA or qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field, specifically NFP industry.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
  • Strong data analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States-based engagement teams.
