Embedded Systems Software Engineer

This is a key role in defining and maintaining software architecture for embedded systems. As an Embedded Systems Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing modular and scalable frameworks using embedded C and MATLAB/Simulink.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of software components across embedded platforms. Additionally, you will support ISO 26262 functional safety and cybersecurity compliance.

To succeed in this role, you should have strong expertise in embedded systems and real-time software development. Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Stateflow is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain software architecture for embedded systems.
  • Design modular, scalable frameworks using embedded C and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Guide development of control algorithms and model-based ECU functions.
  • Ensure integration of software components across embedded platforms.
  • Establish coding standards, modeling guidelines, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, systems, safety, validation).
  • Support ISO 26262 functional safety and cybersecurity compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in embedded systems and real-time software development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Stateflow.
  • Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripheral interfaces.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), MIL/SIL/HIL testing.
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's/Master's in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  2. Experience in automotive domain and ECU development.
