Job Title:

Cloud Data Migration Specialist

Job Description:
  • Migrate large-scale SQL workloads from on-premise environments to Azure cloud, ensuring high data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Design, develop, and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory or Synapse Data Factory for migration and ETL processes.
  • Create scalable, secure Azure Data Lakes to store and manage structured and unstructured data during and post-migration.
  • Utilize Azure Databricks, Synapse Spark Pools, Python, and PySpark for advanced data transformation and processing.
  • Develop SQL/T-SQL scripts for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and reporting in Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instances, and SQL Server.
  • Optimize ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for Azure compatibility.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and DBAs to assess existing workloads and define the best migration approach.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across Azure platforms.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with cloud-based data migration, architecture, and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Synapse Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Synapse Spark Pools.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable, secure data lakes.
  • Knowledge of SQL/T-SQL scripting and ETL processes.
