About the Role :

A successful Chef de Partie must be very knowledgeable about their specialty as well as culinary functions in general. They are responsible for the oversight of all culinary dishes that are prepared in their section. This role requires a person to be very organized and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. They must also be able to give orders within their section as well as reliably carry out orders handed down to them by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the preparation of all culinary dishes in their section.
  • Be knowledgeable about their specialty and culinary functions in general.
  • Be organized and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
  • Give orders within their section and carry out orders handed down by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.

Qualifications :

A Bachelors Degree or any culinary degree is required. The ideal candidate must have worked at least 5 years as a Chef de Partie in Hotels and Restaurants. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are essential. A strong commitment to teamwork and customer service is also required. An eye for detail to achieve operational excellence is necessary.

Work Environment :

This role is based in a hotel and restaurant environment. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work well under pressure.
