Job Title:

Senior Mainframe Developer

Company XYZ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and IMS.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications that meet business requirements.
  • Write, test, and debug COBOL code for high-performance batch and online processing.
  • Modify and update existing COBOL applications to improve efficiency or add new features.
  • Create and maintain JCL scripts to manage batch jobs for data processing.
  • Ensure that JCL is optimized for job scheduling, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve JCL-related issues that impact batch processing.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe programming languages including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and IMS.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe development with a focus on COBOL and related technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
