Network Team Lead - Technical Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Team Lead to join our team. This is an in-depth technical role with 80% technical and 20% managerial capabilities.

This role requires proven experience and the ability to provide hands-on technical expertise and mentorship with a keen eye on the compliance of business SLAs and goals.

  • This position involves architecting, designing, installing, maintaining, and managing Cloud Network Infrastructure including physical and SDN network framework.
  • The successful candidate will ensure high levels of availability, flexibility, and network performance, while maintaining SLAs.
  • Maintenance of infrastructure documentation, auditing, reviewing, and updating will also be key responsibilities.

A key requirement for this role is to work collaboratively with the client and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests.

In addition, the Network Team Lead will oversee a team of Network Engineers, providing technical guidance and evaluating the performance of team members on a periodic basis.

Proactive monitoring and analysis of key performance and capacity metrics and trends will also be required, with recommendations provided where necessary.

Apart from these core responsibilities, the successful candidate will prepare, review, and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.

Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role is essential.

Bonus attributes that will help your application include hands-on expertise on CloudStack networking.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, Load balancer etc.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies (Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN etc.), Security technologies (Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies), Switching (VLANs, VXLAN LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q) and QoS.
  • Familiarity with Network monitoring Protocols & Tools (SNMP, NetFlow , Zabbix, PRTG etc.) and Good Knowledge of SDN Technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
  • Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
  • Motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining Data Center Networks.
  2. Strong understanding of WAN and Routing technologies, Security technologies and Switching.
  3. Familiarity with Network monitoring Protocols & Tools and Good Knowledge of SDN Technologies.
  4. Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.

Please note that having hands-on expertise on CloudStack networking will be a bonus attribute.
