We are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to lead our team and drive performance. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with our company goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with our company goals.
  • Leading the procurement team and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Driving initiatives to improve fill rates, reduce costs, and achieve top and bottom-line growth.
  • Developing contingency plans for critical suppliers to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

  1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:

  • Identifying and on-boarding new vendors, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement of various items, including raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies.
  • Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Conducting supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual agreements.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.

  1. Cost Optimization and Value Creation:

  • Conducting cost analysis and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value optimization.
  • Implementing strategies to drive down procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Utilizing reverse auctions, open bidding, and other techniques to secure the best prices.
  • Monitoring and tracking cost savings and performance metrics.

  1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including FSSAI, AGMARK, and other standards.
  • Maintaining documentation related to vendor specifications, test reports, and other compliance requirements.
  • Working closely with R&D, quality control, and other departments to ensure product quality and safety.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of the food industry supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Experience in managing teams and driving performance.
