We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Observability Engineer to join our team. This long-term contract position is an excellent opportunity for professionals with hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda) and Dynatrace, as well as experience in building observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. They will also be responsible for leading the adoption of APM tooling and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead Dynatrace APM adoption with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Define onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling (Catchpoint, Dynatrace) to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Drive documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools (Catchpoint, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
