Lead Quantity Surveyor - Project Financial Management

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead our QS team and drive project financial management across residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and commercial negotiations to ensure financial efficiency and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying team across multiple projects to ensure successful delivery and financial performance.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for residential and commercial projects to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee tendering processes, vendor negotiations, and contract management to optimize project outcomes.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and ensure alignment with approved budgets to minimize financial risk.
  • Implement cost-control measures and identify areas for savings to improve project profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, legal, and contractual standards to maintain a strong reputation and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate closely with design, procurement, project management, and finance teams to drive business success.
  • Provide timely MIS reports and updates to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and optimize QS processes, systems, and best practices to drive scale and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying; Master's preferred to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills.
  • 10+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying with at least 5 years in a leadership role to demonstrate expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in cost estimation, contract management, and project financials to drive business success.
  • Proven experience in residential and commercial construction projects to demonstrate practical application of skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to drive business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in QS software/tools, MS Excel, and project management systems to drive efficiency and productivity.
