Lead Data Scientist - AI and Machine Learning Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to drive innovation in data-driven initiatives, perform advanced exploratory data analysis, and build & deploy scalable machine learning models. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, generative AI (GenAI), and machine learning deployment frameworks, with a good understanding of the life sciences domain.

About the Role

The Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for leading the design and development of advanced ML and Generative AI models, driving end-to-end data science projects from data preparation to deployment, applying LLMs, transformers, and other GenAI techniques to business problems, guiding and mentoring junior data scientists in technical delivery, partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into AI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of deployed models, and staying current with GenAI advancements and evaluating adoption for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning algorithms and models using Python and popular ML frameworks.
  • Drive the development of innovative data science solutions that meet business needs and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into business processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve data science workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
  • Deep expertise in NLP, LLM fine-tuning, transformers, and GenAI frameworks.
  • Experience with MLOps, model deployment, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, feature engineering, and large-scale data handling.
  • Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate) and orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
