SAP Basis Job Description

This role plays a crucial part in the organization, requiring expertise in Data Archival implementation and support experience with Lifecycle Cycle management tool.

Key responsibilities include server administration, divestment, software management, SAP data archiving, reporting responsibility, data management, and incident management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Server Administration: Maintain fileserver authorization, add new folders, handle access audit requests, monitor Windows fileserver, troubleshoot authorization issues, and resolve Windows fileserver problems.
  • Divestment: Extract and transfer archived data to buyers, create quality documentations on maintenance activities, extract and transfer archived documents, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Software Management: Install Enterprise Scan application, install new patches, troubleshoot issues, install WinViewer application, install new patches, and resolve WinViewer problems.
  • SAP Data Archiving: Activate and deactivate archive infostructures, run catchup archiving for new objects, and maintain existing archives.
  • Reporting Responsibility: Attend Agile ceremonies to provide status updates, share knowledge, and update work items in ADO boards and team OneNote.
  • Data Management - Incident Resolution: Assess and handle incidents, collaborate with teams, create documentation, and maintain quality standards.
  • SAP ILM Retention Management: Assist project teams in testing archive functionalities.
  • SAP ILM Warehouse Management: Assist project teams in testing archive functionalities.
  • Replication Server migration/upgrade: Perform data migrations, conduct technical and functional testing, and ensure seamless upgrades.
