Job Opportunity: Linux Automation Specialist

About the Role:

We seek an experienced and skilled Linux Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patch Management and Compliance
    • Design and implement automated patch remediation for RHEL 7/8/9 systems.
    • Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, YAML) for compliance enforcement.
    • Schedule and deploy OS and application patches in a staged and controlled manner.
    • Integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.
    • Develop automated remediation playbooks for CVEs and STIG/CIS benchmarks.
  • Systems Integration and Configuration
    • Integrate with enterprise tools: SIEM, ITSM, LDAP, PIM/PAM, Red Hat IPA/Satellite.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
    • Generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response
    • Real-time monitoring of patch management systems for uptime and performance.
    • Troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption during remediation cycles.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
    • Maintain detailed SOPs, deployment guides, and compliance documentation.
    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.
    • Support VAPT closure and statutory compliance reporting.
