About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to join our team at WRI India. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations and administrative activities, including bookkeeping and financial oversight, financial reporting, and implementing administrative strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations and administrative activities, including bookkeeping and financial oversight
  • Develop and implement financial and administrative strategies to support the organization's goals
  • Oversee the Legal and Grants and Contracts functions to streamline processes and guide the team concerning current regulatory requirements
  • Lead all administrative responsibilities, including human resources, IT, and facilities management
  • Develop and monitor progress towards meeting organizational goals and aligning with the organizational strategy
  • Manage all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to monitor, evaluate, and optimize cash flow, variances, liquidity, and risk management
  • Participate in all internal planning regarding the organization's proposed program expansion to ensure alignment of program, outreach, and training plans with financial projections
Requirements
  • Qualified CA or MBA in finance from a reputed Institute
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and diverse global workplace
  • Having a total of 12+ years of experience with over 7+ years in the Managerial or leadership role
  • Knowledge of ROC, Income Tax, FCRA, GST, FEMA, US GAAP, and labor regulations
  • Ability for shifting opportunities and priorities
  • Experience in integrating IT/Systems to improve accounting productivity and accuracy
  • Experience in a Non-Profit organization along with expertise of managing staff will be preferred
  • Experience working with external auditors, compliance, and regulatory oversight
  • Commitment to results; 'can-do' mindset
  • Strong work ethics, take ownership of tasks and demonstrate accountability
  • Knowledge of Office Suite and Excel and familiarity with software like SAP, Salesforce, Deltek, Tally, and other online accounting systems managed through multiple geographical areas preferred
