Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to handle daily accounting tasks, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and provide accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily accounting tasks like Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and ledger entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and MIS reports.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, ITR, and other statutory requirements.
  • Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis.
  • Support audits with proper documentation.
  • Generate reports as needed by management.
  • Process entries like contra, journal, receipt, and payment.
  • Work with teams to optimize costs and improve processes.
  • Follow accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, must have worked under a CA or in a CA firm.
  • Proficient in Tally (knowledge of Zoho or other ERP tools is a plus).
  • Good understanding of AP/AR, GST, MIS reporting, and compliances.
  • Experience with inventory accounting is preferred (F&V domain is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting tools.
