Reservoir Modeling Engineer

ExxonMobil Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Simulation Engineer to join our team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating geologic, reservoir, and production data into reservoir simulation models, conducting or coordinating reservoir studies, and building or updating high-fidelity reservoir simulation models.
About the RoleThis is a key position that requires a strong background in reservoir simulation, geology, and engineering. As a Reservoir Simulation Engineer, you will work closely with our global business units and central capability groups to ensure that our reservoir simulation models are accurate and reliable. You will also be responsible for conducting or coordinating reservoir studies, building or updating high-fidelity reservoir simulation models, and performing data QA/QC and correcting anomalies.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in reservoir simulation, geology, and engineering. You will be responsible for quantifying subsurface uncertainties using multi-scenario modeling methods, collaborating with geologists, wells/completion engineers, data scientists, and petro-physicists, and preparing technical reports to share results and analyses with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in petroleum, chemical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience with reservoir simulation
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical operating parameters through data and trend analysis
- Experience with proprietary or vendor engineering analysis tools and software applications
- Able to work in shift hours
Experience using reservoir (flow) simulation software such as Eclipse, Petrel RE, Intersect, or CMG is required. Experience in computational and/or data science, 3D modeling, machine learning, and optimization is also an advantage. Experience working in Tableau and Power BI is also preferred.
