Job Summary:

As a seasoned sourcing expert, you will play a pivotal role in leading category management activities, ensuring supply certainty and minimizing supply risk.

This challenging on-site position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing activities that contribute to the organization's Business/Sites/Local/Project Supply Sourcing Plan.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Take commercial ownership of all spends across client areas.
  • Plan and execute sourcing projects to enable category strategies and ensure timely delivery while minimizing business disruptions.
  • Execute local category strategies and contract coverage to support operational strategies and process automation.
  • Apply Category Management & Purchasing processes aligned with design intent, local operating procedures, audit, and Group Level obligations.
  • Develop effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements, forecast demand, and verify established contracts.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal delivery quality and sustained performance.
  • Collect and analyze key data inputs from multiple sources to build robust category and sourcing strategies.
  • Validate tender issuance and evaluation procedures.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with Suppliers, review contract award recommendations, and approve contracts.
  • Lead, advise, and mentor cross-functional team members to ensure delivery against performance targets.
  • Educate vendors on Clientele Supply processes and ensure delivery against budgeted plans.
  • Support supplier performance issue resolution and escalation.
  • Promote open communication within the Clientele Supply department and with stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier portfolios, ensuring optimal usage and performance against business expectations.
  • Adhere to Clientele Governance Policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Contract/Category/Buyer roles (not purchasing).
  • Strong experience in developing commercial strategies.
  • Leading high-value strategic negotiations and tactical negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of OEMs, Industrial services, Labour, Categories.
  • Global Procurement experience is mandatory.
  • Advanced Excel Skills are mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of ERP Systems (SAP/Pronto Preferred).
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
