Backend Infrastructure Engineer

A high-impact Backend Infrastructure Engineer is required to join a leading conversational AI company shaping the future of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in building and scaling backend infrastructure, with deep expertise in Python programming language, strong cloud skills (AWS or GCP), and a proven track record of delivering production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable backend infrastructure that powers AI customer service agents.
  • Develop highly efficient, production-ready Python code (Django experience a plus).
  • Architect backend services and infrastructure for massive enterprise-grade scale.
  • Deploy and manage systems on AWS or GCP with a focus on speed and reliability.
  • Collaborate directly with founders and engineers to influence architecture and direction.
  • Take ownership: drive projects from design to deployment in a fast-paced startup environment.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with deep Python expertise (Django a plus).
  • Strong cloud skills (AWS or GCP), with familiarity in Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Proven track record of delivering and scaling infrastructure in production.
  • Prior experience in high-ownership teams (startups, top-tier tech, or quant firms).
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent professional foundation.
  • Bonus: experience in high-velocity teams.
