Job Title:

Procurement Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire procurement process for high-end medical equipment to low-end equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Technical Operations to evaluate alternative platforms for tests, aiming to minimize costs and wastage.
  • Receive and process procurement requests from business units (Hospitals, clinics, Labs, Tele Health, and new projects) and provide regular updates on request status.
  • Participate in procurement committee meetings and submit weekly reports to management on procurement request status.
  • Compile quarterly procurement performance reports and market research reports for review by management.
  • Develop and maintain a list of approved suppliers to track quality, encourage competitive pricing, and ensure timely awards and contract execution.
  • Establish and nurture strong professional relationships with suppliers to facilitate prompt responses, open dialogue, and cooperation in identifying valuable options for purchasing decisions.
  • Develop an enterprise procurement strategy for biomedical equipment procurement and AMC/CMC contracts.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure adherence to contract agreements and lead corrective action plans in case of breach.
  • Maintain a materials database/library and arrange product demos for users before negotiation.
  • Perform other duties related to procurement as assigned.
