Java Software Support Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Java software specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Object-Oriented programming principles, experience in developing Single Page Applications using AngularJS, and exposure to Node.js.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Java web application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, GlassFish, or WebSphere) and knowledge of unit testing and build processes (Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Hudson, or Cruise Control). They should also possess 4-6 years of experience including at least 1 year in a support environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and expertise to clients using JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Developing Single Page Applications using AngularJS
  • Exposure to Node.js
  • Writing code in Java at a familiarity level as a minimum
  • Familiarity with design patterns and web application architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Java web applications servers
  • Knowledge of unit testing and build processes

Requirements:

  • Expertise with JavaScript-based frameworks like jQuery, prototype, Angularjs
  • Good solid understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts
  • Experience in developing Single Page Applications using AngularJS
  • Exposure to Node.js
  • Understanding of Usability & UI guidelines
  • Experience writing code in Java at a familiarity level as a minimum
  • Familiarity with design patterns and web application architectures
  • Experience working with REST-based web services or other server-based APIs
  • Knowledge of Java enterprise development (Spring, JPA, EJB, or JSF)
  • Knowledge of unit testing and build processes (Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Hudson, or Cruise Control)
  • Hands-on experience with Java web applications servers (JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, GlassFish, or WebSphere)
