Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled Patent Attorney to lead our patent prosecution team and handle all related matters efficiently.
- Manage the patent portfolio and oversee patent filing, drafting, prosecution, and maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective Intellectual Property (IP) strategies.
- Provide IP clearances to various teams within the organization.
- Conduct thorough literature searches in multiple databases.
- Prepare comprehensive IP opinions and reports for freedom-to-operate, infringement, validity, and prior art studies.
- Draft and file patent applications in various jurisdictions.
- Review and respond to patent examination reports and office actions.
- Support IP due diligence efforts for product licensing opportunities.
- Handle patent oppositions and litigation as needed.
A seasoned professional in this role will possess a PhD in Biotechnology or a related field, along with a law degree from a reputable institution. Prior experience in patent prosecution is essential.
Certification or diploma in patent law is preferred, as is qualification as a patent agent.
