Job Title

Key Responsibilities
  1. To design, develop, and maintain a backend architecture that integrates with frontend, third-party, and COTS platforms.
  2. To collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end digital solutions.
  3. To implement RESTful and SOAP APIs for integration purposes.
  4. To mentor junior team members and ensure the quality of code is maintained.
  5. To contribute towards various Transformation initiatives to achieve project goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Core Java technologies including Spring Boot.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese and English languages.
  • JLPT N3 or N2 certified. Knowledge of designing and implementing APIs and integrations in insurance systems.
  • Knowledge of distributed architecture, microservices, and Japanese insurance regulatory requirements.
  • 4 to 10 years of IT experience in Application Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance projects.
Preferred Skills
  • Agile methodology, DevOps, Security vulnerability management and P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
  • Familiarity with OpenShift, containerization, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub), and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to test automation (SoapUI, Postman) and monitoring tools.
