Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage our Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of blood collection from laboratory animals, monitoring anesthesia/euthanasia, and preparing/conducting necropsy examinations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting and monitoring tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining, histopathological slide reading, and report preparation. Additionally, they will monitor clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters, and urine analysis, as well as implement/maintain quality control checks.

This role involves reviewing in-house test results, participating in pharmacological evaluation projects, and ensuring the availability of required chemicals and materials. The candidate will also be responsible for RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports, and study audits, health monitoring of animals and employees, sample collection/analysis/dispatch, calibration/preventive maintenance schedules for pathology equipment, and other assigned tasks that do not conflict with their interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters, and urine analysis
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a pre-clinical pathology lab
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
