Business Continuity Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our emergency management program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity of our essential business functions and information systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets such as data centers.
  • Develop contingency plans to deal with organizational emergencies, including natural disasters, cyber-attacks, and other potential disruptions.
  • Test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans to ensure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.
  • Assess risks to business operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Review existing disaster recovery, crisis management, or business continuity plans to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate personnel on business continuity best practices.
  • Maintain and update organization information technology applications and network systems blueprints to ensure they are aligned with business continuity objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, emergency management, or computer science.
  • Proven experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and emergency management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
