Investment Expert

We are seeking a skilled Investment Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing investments and making informed decisions to achieve targeted returns.

Job Objective:

  • The organization has a surplus cash balance that needs to be deployed efficiently.
  • An investment desk is responsible for managing the funds and achieving targeted returns on investments.
  • The team adheres to an Investment Policy and makes informed decisions on investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drill deep into company and sector dynamics, making detailed financial models, and constantly monitoring assigned companies.
  2. Examine a company's financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  3. Analyze financial statements and develop an investment thesis when required.
  4. Perform market and portfolio analysis to support equity investment decisions.
  5. Provide continuous coverage of allocated industry sectors and individual stocks; monitor earning results and corporate actions analysis.
  6. Conduct macro event analysis and their potential effects on stock moves and directions.
  7. Liaise with investment back-office teams to ensure timely trade processing.
  8. Study and analyze market conditions, conducting detailed research on financial, social, and economic data and information.
  9. Maintain portfolios, updating and monitoring them regularly.
  10. Evaluate startups and prepare a detailed report to highlight opportunities and risks, justifying the investment thesis.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Full-time Master of Business Administration in Finance degree with at least 8-12 years of experience.
  • Working experience of SAP software is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
