Engineering Director

We are seeking an accomplished engineering director with a unique blend of technical leadership, people leadership, and business skills.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a leadership position while also wanting to utilize their technical software engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and coach one or more engineering teams to deliver strategic organizational priorities.
  • Be accountable for the quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Support, and other teams to refine business requirements in alignment with good design principles.
  • Work closely with architects to create good engineering designs that meet business requirements and align with architectural practices.
  • Translate technology into business value through innovative solutions.

As an engineering director, you will be an active contributor in areas of product design, architecture, and/or implementation. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and grow the engineering function to drive business success.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in software development with programming languages experience in Java/J2EE.
  • Extensive experience working with Spring boot Microservices.
  • Expertise in database management systems including MySQL, SQL server, Postgre SQL, MongoDB, and Oracle Database.
  • Experience with building AI agents and prompt engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of team management experience as manager capacity.
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
