Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of expertise in Azure Cognitive Search and data engineering with a passion for delivering intuitive user experiences and business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain cognitive search solutions using Azure Cognitive Search and related AI services.
  2. Develop pipelines to ingest, index, and enrich data from diverse sources (databases, reports, dashboards, documents).
  3. Enable natural language query capabilities for business users to interact with enterprise data effectively.
  4. Integrate semantic search, embeddings, and generative AI techniques to deliver advanced insights.
  5. Collaborate closely with business teams to define use cases in finance, operations, and reporting.
  6. Partner with data lake and ADF pipeline teams to ensure seamless integration.
  7. Adopt agile, iterative delivery methodologies to validate and scale solutions rapidly.
  8. Ensure compliance, data security, and ethical AI usage in search solutions.
  9. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on AI search and NLP best practices.
Requirements

Strong experience with Azure Cognitive Search, Cognitive Services, and AI/ML frameworks.

Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data integration for search indexing.

Familiarity with embeddings, NLP, and vector search technologies.

Hands-on experience with connecting search solutions to BI tools, reports, and dashboards.

Strong understanding of data governance and enterprise data management principles.
