Communications Manager Job Description

As a senior communications professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's internal and external communication strategies. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in communication, with a strong background in copywriting and editing for various platforms. You will work closely with leaders across the organization and the communications team to meet deadlines, build a brand, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective corporate and external communication strategies
  • Manage internal communications through collaboration with the comms and biz teams
  • Research, write, or vet content and design for emails, newsletters, org website, infographics, social media, etc.
  • Plan and initiate communication initiatives for org events
  • Maintain knowledge of the company's policies, brand guidelines, style guide, and stay up-to-date with relevant developments
  • Work with internal teams to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the organizational goals
  • Assist in communication from leadership

Requirements:

  • Proven 4+ or 8+ years' experience as a communications specialist for internal and external communication, preferably in large organizations
  • Experience in copywriting and editing for all platforms
  • Solid understanding of project management principles
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities across locations & teams
  • A BSc/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field
