About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Systems Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality working drawings for commercial and light industrial buildings.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and detailed HVAC working drawings in accordance with project standards.
  • Collaborate with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Resolve technical issues with site teams through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and drawing logs to meet ISO standards.
  • Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals to ensure project deliverables.
  • Monitor productivity and contribute to QA/QC processes to drive efficiency.
  • Identify additional work and inform the Project Manager to ensure project scope is met.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, including chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, and smoke control.
  • Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Proficiency in HVAC calculations and software (e.g., HAP) to deliver accurate designs.
  • Knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of related MEP systems to ensure holistic building design.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • HVAC training certification is preferred but not mandatory.
