Clinical Pharmacology Technician

This is a rewarding career opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the field of clinical pharmacology. As a clinical pharmacology technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians with various cardiological tests and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrocardiogram (EKG), phonocardiogram, echocardiogram, and stress tests using electronic equipment.
  • Evaluate cardiology patients to ensure their comfort and address any questions or concerns they may have about the tests.
  • Record test results and consult with physicians on duty to schedule follow-up tests as needed.
  • Assist physicians during non-invasive cardiological procedures by monitoring patients' heart rates and alerting them to any readings outside normal ranges.
  • Maintain cardiological equipment and supplies through daily cleanings and adjustments.
  • Monitor supply inventory levels and restock the supply storeroom accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot problems with cardiological equipment and report malfunctions to superiors.
  • Stay up-to-date with cardiological developments by attending conferences and participating in research projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as health sciences or biology.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in cardiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and other relevant software.
