About the Role:

We are looking for highly skilled individuals who can handle end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance for US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, QuickBooks, and international accounting practices, along with prior experience working with US clients in BPO/KPO/outsourcing setups.

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients, ensuring timely posting of transactions and accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per US GAAP, perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company balances, and support preparation of management reports and financial dashboards for clients.
  • Assist with US tax filings, sales tax returns, and payroll processing, while ensuring compliance with US accounting standards and client-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected individual will be responsible for

  1. Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including journal entries and general ledger adjustments;
  2. Maintaining accurate accounts payable and receivable records, as well as reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company balances;
  3. Preparing financial statements, management reports, and financial dashboards for clients, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP;
  4. Assisting with US tax filings, sales tax returns, and payroll processing, and liaising with external tax consultants and auditors when required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field;
  • 2-4 years of experience in US Accounting / Outsourcing / KPO industry;
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, US tax compliance, and payroll processing;
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with US clients.

Financial Reporting:

As an experienced accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, management reports, and financial dashboards for clients, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP. This will include performing reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company balances, and supporting the preparation of management reports and financial dashboards.

Taxation & Compliance:

You will assist with US tax filings, sales tax returns, and payroll processing, while ensuring compliance with US accounting standards and client-specific requirements. You will also liaise with external tax consultants and auditors when required.

Client Communication & Support:

You will work closely with US-based clients to understand their accounting needs, provide timely updates, reports, and financial insights, and handle queries and resolve issues related to accounting, reporting, or compliance.

Process Improvement & Technology:

You will use QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or other accounting platforms for client management, contribute to process improvements and standardization of accounting practices, and support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
