Senior Financial Tax Specialist

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax services, particularly with complex financial returns.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review detailed financial services client returns, including hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds.
- Review state returns for financial services clients.
- Identify international filing requirements through organizational chart study and review international tax returns.
- Train existing/new staff on concepts, technology, and provide timely feedback for each project reviewed.
- Supervise kick-off calls to understand the client and intervene in conflicts.
- Guide staff/senior on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate team members.
- Ability to conduct independent tax research.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to learn new tax software quickly.
- Quick learner, positive demeanor, and team player.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (US) certification.
- Experience in detail review of tax returns.
- Knowledge of relevant tax software and systems.
- Relevant experience more than 5+ years in financial services returns.
