Lead Model Developer for Automotive Systems

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development and implementation of high-fidelity plant models for use in simulation environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of model-based development, preferably in the automotive domain.

The following responsibilities include:

  • Developing high-fidelity plant models using Simulink or equivalent tools.
  • Architecting models for seamless integration into various simulation platforms.
  • Defining interface standards for model consumption across simulation platforms.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Leading data collection efforts from physical devices to support model validation and performance characterization.
  • Analyzing diagnostic responses and performance metrics to refine model behavior.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Defining and executing test cases based on customer feedback and evolving model requirements.
  • Maintaining model robustness by incorporating vehicle calibration variations and real-world operating conditions.

This role requires:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in model-based development, preferably in the automotive domain.
  • Proficiency in Simulink, MATLAB, and other modeling tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with HiL/SiL/CoSim environments and simulation workflows.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and sensor/actuator hardware.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
