Application Project Manager Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, design, build, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of application projects. They must follow regular procedures to ensure all tasks are delivered according to schedule.

  • Manage end-to-end application project management for large-scale, complex application development, implementation, and upgrade projects.
  • Develop project roadmaps and collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including software developers, designers, QA engineers, business analysts, and external vendors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality while maintaining strict adherence to project management best practices.
  • Utilize Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks by managing project issues and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Track and report on project performance using project management tools and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including mentoring and training junior project managers and team members.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to provide regular updates, escalate issues as necessary, and manage expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with project management best practices, data security, and change management processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure user adoption, training, and smooth handover of applications.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, requirements, design specs, and post-project reviews.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar certifications.
  • 8+ years of experience managing large-scale application development and deployment projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methodologies, and project management best practices.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in project management tools such as MS CRM 365 , MS Project, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, integration, and cloud platforms (Azure, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage project risks and issues proactively.
