Job Summary:

This role involves the preparation of various pastry and dessert menu items according to provided recipes and photos.

The successful candidate will be assigned a station in the pastry galley, where they will work under the guidance of the Pastry Chef Tournant. They will have the opportunity to become familiar with different tasks by rotating through various stations.

  • Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this position include preparing pastry and dessert menu items, setting up pastry displays on buffets as needed, assisting with food transportation, cleaning and sanitizing working areas and utensils, and performing related duties as required.

Qualifications and Education:

For this role, we are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience is preferred).

Candidates should also possess knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment. A high school diploma or basic education equivalency requirement is also necessary.
