Cloud Engineer Job Summary

This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, and other DevOps tools. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services in AWS, leveraging native services like EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc.

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions to streamline operations and improve system performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to automate tasks and workflows.
  • Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
  • Use AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) to define cloud infrastructure in code and manage deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services, cloud security, deployment processes, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and services in AWS, leveraging native services like EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Automation Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to automate tasks and workflows.
  • Containerization: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Use AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) to define cloud infrastructure in code and manage deployments.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services, cloud security, deployment processes, and system performance.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps practices and cloud engineering.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and infrastructure management.
  • Scripting Experience: 2+ years of scripting experience using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • CI/CD Tools: 2+ years of working with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.
  • Containerization Technologies: 1+ year of hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Troubleshooting Ability: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve AWS Cloud-related issues.
  • IaC Experience: 2+ years of experience in deploying and supporting AWS-native applications.
  • Infrastructre as Code: 1+ year of experience using AWS CDK to provision infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Bachelors Degree: Bachelors degree in engineering and related field.
