Investment Research Professional

A highly skilled and experienced Investment Research Professional is required to drive investment decisions at a leading financial institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models with scenario analysis to identify investment opportunities.
  • Conduct DCF, relative, SOTP, and other relevant valuation methods to inform portfolio management decisions.
  • Build accurate assumptions and valuations with clear rationale to support investment recommendations.
  • Screen large datasets to identify potential investment ideas and collaborate with portfolio managers to refine investment strategies.
  • Discuss investment ideas and stock updates with portfolio managers to ensure alignment on investment opportunities.
  • Prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings to stay informed on market developments.
  • Develop pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic notes to effectively communicate investment ideas.
  • Manage databases to track investment information and news.
  • Collect and analyze news to stay up-to-date on market trends.
  • Respond to ad hoc research requests from portfolio managers and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and other stakeholders to provide timely updates on investment opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Strong financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation-making skills.
  • Ability to think critically and develop drivers and KPIs across broad sectors.
  • Effective client relationship management skills and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple workflows with tight deadlines.
  • Numerical abilities.
  • Capacity to build complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions.
  • Experience with earnings sensitivity analysis.
  • Ability to provide own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based or industry-appropriate valuations.
  • Capacity to write in a logical and structured manner requiring minimal rework.
  • Ability to write bulletins and one-page summaries.
  • Capacity to link macro/industry analysis to output.
  • Effective presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Healthcare, Industrial, TMT & Auto sectors will be an added advantage.
  • Graduation + CFA L3 cleared OR MBA in Finance will be preferred.
